SUMMER IN THE SON: Happy are the MERCIFUL
Here on earth we often here the cry for justice.  "I just want justice," we say.  The reality is, that our greatest need is for mercy, for each of us is a sinner.  Those who truly understand this will freely extend mercy to others.  When we do, the appreciation for the mercy we have received deepens all the more in eternal happiness.

SUMMER IN THE SON: Happy are the Poor in Spirit
Everyone wants to be happy.  The problem is that most of tend to look in all the wrong places.  Jesus tells us the pathway to true happiness.  It is not at all what most of us would think.  The first step is an accurate view of one's self in light of who God is.  Jesus calls this, being "poor in spirit."

DESIGNER HOMES: The Joy & Challenge of Childhood
Children are important to God.  Jesus valued children highly and said that the kingdom was comprised of those with faith like a child.  The responsibility of parents to capture the hearts of their children, connecting them to God early is enormous--one of the most important responsibilities they have.

    More Than a Name
    Series: (All)
The name of Jesus is far more than a name--it is the name at which every knee will one day bow.  The offense we give God when His name is misused (profaned) is far greater that we can possibly imagine.  Every aspect of the Christian's life will bring either honor or dishonor on the name of God.

    Last Minute Pardon
The power of the President of the United States to pardon a condemned criminal is great, but cannot compare to the power of Jesus Christ to grant the ultimate pardon resulting in forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.  This is what Jesus did for the repentant thief on the cross next to him--an amazing last minute pardon.
