Rescue Mission: Mission Unexpected
No one anticipated it.  The prophets didn't understand it, even though they foretold it.  Even the angels in heaven didn't understand it (1 Peter 1:12).  God's rescue mission was indeed a mission unexpected.

Ends of the Earth: It’s Not Over Till . . .
As long as you have breath, your service to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom is not over here.  Never underestimate the faithfulness of God and His power to use you, even in the midst of the most difficult of circumstances.

Ends of the Earth: Spiritual Warfare
There is a battle raging for every human soul and we need to understand who the enemy is and how to do battle against him.  That battle is not always seen or understood because it is a spiritual one.  As a result, we often mistake the identity of our true enemy.  We also tend to overestimate our strength against him apart from a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit.

    Ends of the Earth: Sober-Minded
We live in an “information drunk” culture. With so much access to information and news, it can seem overwhelming. How do we sort through all that we see every day? How do we become “sober-minded”?

    Ends of the Earth: Accountable
Everyone needs accountability.  Even the Apostles needed accountability.  Accountability keeps us on mission and protects us from blind spots and giving in to personal agendas.  At the conclusion of the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas, they returned to the church that had sent them (Antioch) to give a report.  They were then called to the mother church in Jerusalem to give a full account of what they were preaching and teaching and give clarity to reports they had received from others.

Out of the Box: Surprised by Prayer
There is power when God’s people pray, doing more than we could imagine or think.  When the church joined in prayer at the imprisonment of Peter, God showed up in a way that the church did not expect.  They were more than just a little surprised.  Was it because they did not believe God would answer their prayers, or was it that He answered their prayers in a way they did not expect?  Did they lack faith or did God give them more than they were asking?

Out of the Box: Not For Sale
There have always been individuals who will exploit the Gospel, or anything for that matter, for personal gain or profit.  But the Gospel is not for sale.  The Holy Spirit is not for sale.  The apostles were confronted with just such an individual in the city of Samaria following the preaching of Philip.  When he witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit and how it was imparted through the apostles he sought to get in on the action.  It was then he learned a lesson we all need to be reminded of.  God cannot be bought.

    KINGDOM COME: Fully Devoted
    Series: Kingdom Come
What does it mean to be fully devoted?  What does that look like?  One of Satan's primary weapons against believers is distraction.  It is easy to be distracted and have our energy consumed chasing good things instead of the best things.   This was a challenge the early church had to face as well and we can learn much from their example.

John is know as "the disciple whom Jesus loved.  He was also known as being quick tempered.  But John was transformed by the love and power of Jesus.  John was also the only disciple at the cross.  He was the last man standing.  Why?
