AT THE CROSS: Gain > Loss (Mary, the mother of Jesus)
    Series: At the Cross
Mary is a key character at the cross of Jesus.  Mary spent a lifetime grappling with the conflict of joy and anxiety in her heart as the woman who was chosen to give birth to the Messiah.  Mary had to release a son in order to gain a Savior.  Her gain was far greater than her loss.

    KINGDOM COME: Exposed
    Series: Kingdom Come
On the heals of exponential growth, success and influence, the church faces a new danger . . . from the inside . . . moral compromise.  If Satan cannot get the church to fall or retreat by use of threats, he will resort to internal corruption.  Such is the case in the incident involving Ananias and Sapphira.  His tactics remain the same and a constant threat in the church of today.   But God will not let such sin go unexposed for long.

    KINGDOM COME: Open Hands
    Series: Kingdom Come
The influence of the church spread rapidly because they loved one another selflessly and held all earthly possessions lightly and with open hands.  Their fellowship was marked by extreme generosity, such as the world had never known.

    KINGDOM COME: Ask… Seek… Knock
    Series: Kingdom Come
The early church grew and thrived in the middle of extreme hostility.  The reason is that they understood their calling and mission.  They also understood where the strength necessary to fulfill their mission came from--the Holy Spirit accessed through prayer.  They took Jesus at His word and asked for exactly what they needed--courage and boldness.

KINGDOM COME: What’s In a Name?
    Series: Kingdom Come
Names are important.  All of us have one, and it matters to us how people use it.  It identifies who we are and whose we are.  But there is one name that is more important than all others.  Do you know it?  Do you know Him?

KINGDOM COME: What is Your Passion?

KINGDOM COME: The Tie that Binds
    Series: Kingdom Come
What exactly is the Church?  What does it look like?  Why is it important?  What difference does it make?  What is the big deal anyway?   These are questions that we need to wrestle with in our post-Christian age, lest we lose sight of our identity as the "called out ones" of Christ and our mission.  What would happen if we fully embraced the lifestyle of the early church in our age?

    KINGDOM COME: Blessing & Power
    Series: Kingdom Come
Jesus Christ had been crucified and was now risen from the dead.  Hope had been reborn in the disciples and the mission of Christ was about to be launched.  But the disciples were waiting . . . they were waiting for the power to accomplish the task they were called to.  That power is the Holy Spirit. With the coming of Pentecost came also the Holy Spirit and the church was birth in power.  What does that me for us today?

    KINGDOM COME: Chosen-Life After Death
    Series: Kingdom Come
What do you do when someone in leadership fails?  How do you move forward?  Is there any hope for the church?  Is there any hope for the one who has fallen?  How do you chose a replacement?  How do you discern the Lord's will?  Is there life after death?  These are questions many of us have had to face, or will face.  These were questions most likely confronting the band of believers following Judas' betrayal of Jesus and the vacancy his tragic and self-inflicted death left among the Apostles of Christ.

    ~Acts 1:12-26
