We Are:

We are an independent Christian church with no denominational name or headquarters – our headquarters is really in heaven!
Back in the late 18th century, people of different religious backgrounds, independent of each other and in various areas of the world, began asking questions like:
– Couldn’t we go back beyond denominationalism to the simplicity and purity of the first-century church? Wouldn’t that bring unity among followers of Christ?
– Why not just lay aside the various creeds and human authorities, simply taking the Bible as our authority and continuing faithfully “in the apostles’ teaching…”? (Acts 2:42)
– Wouldn’t planting the same “seed”- the Word of God (Luke 8:11) that first century Christians planted, produce the same harvest of Biblical Christians in our day?

These men were really “ahead of their time,” believing that nothing should be required of Believers except what is clear in the Scriptures. Those who shared those ideals grew in unprecedented numbers and became known as the “Restoration Movement” – seeking to “restore” the church seen in the Bible. We identify with this movement.

We do not consider ourselves a denomination. We are simply members of the Church that Jesus established and for which He died. We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and that the New Testament is the authority in our day and time. We are certainly not the only Christians but we do seek to be Christians only.

What We Believe

One God
We believe in one God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. ( Matthew 3:16 & 17, John 14:9 & 10).
God the Father
We believe God is the creator of man and of all things—visible and invisible (Genesis 1:1, Acts 17:24-28).
God the Son
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return to power and glory at some point in history ( John 1:1, Matthew 1:18, Romans 8:11, 1Corinthians 15, Revelation 1:18).
God the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian (John 16:5-15).

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith (Romans 15:4, Hebrews 4:13, 2 Timothy 3:16).
The Church

We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ, comprised of all Christians everywhere, with a three-fold mission to:
1) evangelize the world
2) make disciples of Christ

3) equip others for ministry

(Matthew 16:13-18, John 6:47, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:14-47, Romans 8:10-11, Ephesians 4:11-16).

Eternal Life

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit eternal life; the unsaved, eternal separation from God (Romans 8:10-11, Daniel 12:2, John 6:47).

We believe that all people are created by God and in His image yet have willfully sinned. As a result, all men are in need of a Savior, being lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, I John 1:7).

We believe that salvation (the forgiveness of sins) comes by grace through faith in the completed work of Christ on our behalf through His blood (His death on the cross). Salvation is a free gift from God and includes an immediate restoration of a person’s relationship with Him, and through yielding to the Holy Spirit, a lifetime of continuing transformation of that person’s character into the image and likeness of Christ (Matthew 26:28, Acts 16:30-31, Romans 5:8-11, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Philippians 1:6).

We believe the pattern the Bible teaches to receive Jesus as Savior is to believe in Christ as God’s Son and Savior of the world, to repent of personal sin, to confess Christ as Lord, and to be immersed in baptism (Luke 24:45-47, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-7, 2 Peter 3:9).
