KINGDOM COME: The Tie that Binds
Series: Kingdom Come
What exactly is the Church?  What does it look like?  Why is it important?  What difference does it make?  What is the big deal anyway?   These are questions that we need to wrestle with in our post-Christian age, lest we lose sight of our identity as the "called out ones" of Christ and our mission.  What would happen if we fully embraced the lifestyle of the early church in our age?

Jesus Christ had been crucified and was now risen from the dead.  Hope had been reborn in the disciples and the mission of Christ was about to be launched.  But the disciples were waiting . . . they were waiting for the power to accomplish the task they were called to.  That power is the Holy Spirit. With the coming of Pentecost came also the Holy Spirit and the church was birth in power.  What does that me for us today?

    KINGDOM COME: Chosen-Life After Death
    Series: Kingdom Come
What do you do when someone in leadership fails?  How do you move forward?  Is there any hope for the church?  Is there any hope for the one who has fallen?  How do you chose a replacement?  How do you discern the Lord's will?  Is there life after death?  These are questions many of us have had to face, or will face.  These were questions most likely confronting the band of believers following Judas' betrayal of Jesus and the vacancy his tragic and self-inflicted death left among the Apostles of Christ.

    The In-Betweens
    Series: (All)
Most of us lead busy lives and spend our time running rapidly from one event to the next and one stage of life to the next. We are uncomfortable with the in between times.  As a result, we become anxious and irritated.  Sometimes we take matters into our own hands rather than waiting on God.  That also results if further worry and frustration.  What if we learned patience and the blessing of living fully in the in between times?

A CHRISTMAS CAROL: Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus
Christmas is a time of anticipation and expectation.  The Christmas carol, Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus, is a cherished carol about the longing of God's people since the Fall of man for the coming of a Redeemer (Messiah, Christ).  The birth of Jesus brought light and hope into the world and fulfilled that age-old longing.  But our longing is not complete.  There is something more that God's people should be living in eager expectation of.
